A year ago, I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno. After four years of hard work and dedication, I was ready to enter the world of business. That's what I thought at least. After a few opportunities in business, including an internship with Disney, I came to the realization I didn't enjoy what I was doing. Sure, I was good at it but it didn't feel fulfilling. I took a step back to think about my life and what I wanted for my future. I realized that at the end of the day, I wanted to love what I was doing. I wanted to wake up every morning and feel like I was making a difference in some way. I started thinking about my passions and what I have always loved to do. For me, this was teaching. I adore children and I love any opportunity to teach them and make a connection with them. I have done many volunteer activities, most of which included either taking care of children or tutoring children. This leap to go back to school to get my credentials just seemed like the obvious next step for me. I'm excited to start this new journey and I can't wait for everything I will learn in the years to come!
